July 2017 saw Gdansk visited by probably the most famous royalty on the planet when the UK’s Prince William and Princess Catherine visited the city as part of a two-day visit to the country.
The Tri-city offers plenty of things to see, visit, eat and drink but what about to do? We joined up with a group of other visitors to try our hands at making pierogi – Polish dumplings and discovered that we can cook (with a bit of expert supervision) and have a bit of fun.
The main thread running through this year’s 30th edition of the festival has been Ray Bradbury’s dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451, originally published in 1953. In his futuristic vision, Bradbury imagined a world without books, a world in which all forms of literature, art, philosophy as well as all individual, independent and liberal thinking, feeling and acquisition of knowledge are banned.
