Your hotel’s concierge will be more than happy to advise and help you.

I warmly welcome our readers of Warsaw In Your Pocket. February and March are months when the cold weather does not encourage you to stay outside for too long. I would, however, like to suggest some interesting proposals for those visiting our capital.

Until February 24, 2019, we have a chance to experience a real fairy tale. This is thanks to the project “Light and Sound” organised in Wilanów Gardens, where the magic of extraordinary images will take you to another world (Open daily from 4pm until 11pm).

Another suggestion for our guests is to visit the controversial “Body Worlds & the cycle of life” exhibition by Gunter von Hagens. It is available on the fourth floor of the Palace of Culture & Science. (Open daily from 9am until 8pm).

Fans of classical music are invited to the Grand Theatre of the Opera and Ballet, where the repertoire includes masterpieces such as Puccini’s Tosca, Verdi’s Nabucco, Mozart’s Magic Flute and Bizet’s Carmen

SEE REPERTOIRE

Warsaw is a city associated with the life and work of one of the greatest composers and pianists – Frederyk Chopin. You are invited to daily concerts of the music of this genius. Time for Chopin in the Royal Castle and Chopin Point on the Royal Route are particularly recommendable.

Jazz music fans will not be disappointed at the 12on14 Jazz Club, which hosts famous jazzmen and where you can listen to the legendary singing of James Brown, Martha High and the soul cookers.

On February 25 at the Warszawski Torwar you can enjoy the concert of the legendary band Dire Straits; and on March 16, Torwar will host the MMA Fight Exclusive Night.

Of course we also invite you to visit the museums of the Warsaw Uprising, POLIN (Museum of the History of Polish Jews), Zacheta Gallery of Art, Chopin Museum and the many others Warsaw has to offer.

A great experience is offered by the professional, multi-lingual guides from Warsaw City Tours. They will tell you all about the history and the modern times of our city with great pride and pleasure.

A perfect end to a day full of activities would be a visit to the Panorama Sky Bar, on the 40th floor of the Marriott hotel, where with a delicious drink and good music, you can admire the spectacular views of Warsaw.
