Wizards Vintage Winter Show
THU JUL 28–SAT JUL 30 For some fabulous winter shopping, you’ll find an impressive collection of exhibitors at the wonderful Westcliff mansion home of Wizards Vintage who are hosting a pop-up winter sale in collaboration with a curated selection of boutique local fashion brands. There’s a pop-up restaurant by Eighty8s Food and a wine bar. The pop-up is open Thu & Fri 10:00-17:00, Sat Jul 30 09:00-15:00 at 48 The Valley Rd, Westcliff.
Redhill Arts Festival
FRI JUL 29–SUN JUL 31 The Redhill School in Morningside hosts its annual open-air arts festival. This year’s festival encompasses more than 20 theatre productions as well as a kids entertainment area, market and plenty of live music. On Saturday Matthew Mole, Shekhinah and a host of other acts perform at the Live Music Fest and on Sunday there is a Family Picnic Day led by various school bands and the National Children’s Theatre. Rand Club Comedy
FRI JUL 29 The historic Rand Club in collaboration with Comedy View hosts another edition of the popular comedy night. The evening’s entertainment is led by stand-up comedian and member of the comedy trio Threes Company Gavin Kelly, who loves to call himself Rebel Without A Clue, and award-winning comedian, MC, scriptwriter, voice-over artist, and actor Q Dube. Vaal Meander Wine Expo
SAT JUL 30 *Please note this event is now fully booked! The 18th Annual Vaal Wine Expo at Stonehaven on Vaal presents a day of unlimited tastings of over 280 different wines paired with a free voucher for a 30-minute river cruise or R50 off food at the venue. Hosted on Stonehaven’s expansive lawns, in addition to the wine tastings, there are delicious food stalls, a kiddie’s play area, and live music to enjoy too, plus lots of great discounts to take advantage from the participating estates. Joburg Sunset Rooftop Experience

SAT JUL 30 Soshanguve-born pianist and contemporary African jazz artist Thandi Ntuli performs beautiful melodies from her highly-anticipated new album Black Elijah and The Children of The Meroe at Untitled Basement on Reserve Street in Braamfontein. Always a captivating live performer, we’ve caught her live at this intimate venue before and the evening was nothing short of magical – if you enjoy jazz, do not miss this! Christmas in July market & Feel Good Series at Victoria Yards
SAT JUL 30 Victoria Yards, a charming creative hub on the eastern side of the city, hosts two fun events this Saturday: a ‘Christmas in July’ market and the July edition of the Feel Good Series market. The market opens at 11:00 with 15 vendors selling an array of local designs and gifts, food and drinks and of course to get in the Christmas mood Glühwein (mulled wine). ‘Real snow’ is also promised! Then from 15:00 the Feel Good Series party kicks off with, as always, the coolest mix of DJs presenting hip hop, Afrobeats, amapiano, house and everything else in between, plusa performance by July headliner RnB singer Nannette. Joburg Heritage Tour: The Pines and Villa Arcadia

FROM AUG 1 A massive four-day online auction of fine art and wine, glittering jewellery and collectables by top fine art and design auction house Stephan Welz & Co is coming up, hosted online from Aug 1 to 4. Artworks from the sale are also on show in an exhibition at the auction house’s Rosebank showroom on Jan Smuts Avenue until Sun July 31 (open for viewings 10:00-16:00).
