Fete de la Musique
Sat Sep 18 The annual free music festival Fête de la Musique, organised by the Institut Français is back. Hosted under the slogan ‘Free Music For All’ it offers something for everyone with jazz, pop, classical, rock, soul, indie and funk all on the programme. This year’s festival is taking place Newtown, Soweto, Victoria Yards and at the Alliance Francaise in Parkview. Entrance is free. Find out more here.
The Jazzy Poolside Picnic with Tamara Dey
Sat Sep 18 The charming Foxwood House in Houghton Estate presents a springtime poolside picnic in the gardens with live a jazz performance by the always captivating Tamara Dey and the Kopano Jazz Collective. Booking is essential. Tickets cost R250.
Date Night Amelie screening at The Bioscope
Sat Sep 18 It’s date night at The Bioscope cinema at 44 Stanley with a screening of the French classic Amelie. Tickets cost R270 per couple and includes any pizza on the menu to share. Book here.

UnMasking the Artist with Iphupho L’ka Biko
