08.09. – 21.10. >> Kristina Leko – How the people live?
An interdisciplinary art project based on the book ‘How the people live?’ by Rudolf Bičanić, 1936. The author of the exhibit, Kristina Leko, brings to life the book and its characters, eight ordinary Croatian families living in passive and fairly poor localities. The museum is transferred to a real life village portraying each person, the floor plan of each household, the building of one home in its entirety, original documentation and an emphasis on the economic and social dependence of the times, and its psychological effect. A travel back to a time long gone…
The exhibition is available at the Contemporary Art Musem (Avenija Dubrovnik 17) from 11:00 – 18:00, Sat 11:00 – 20:00. Closed Mon.

See oil paintings and prints analysed by art historians, artists, and academic critics, works that have been tested in forensic labs for true authenticity.
