I Love You I Hate You by Love Jozi

Sat Oct 9 at 11:00 Bradley Kirshenbaum, designer of the iconic Love Jozi brand, presents a hugely entertaining fast-paced 40-minute talk that distills the ethos behind Love Jozi’s unique imagery and how the city of Joburg, with all its inherent challenges and surprises, became the brand’s distinctive muse.

The Field Market

Sat Oct 9 from 09:00-15:00 One of Sandton’s most popular open-air market days, The Field Market at Sandton Field and Study Centre park, returns for the spring. Expect tons of food stalls, local craft and design, live music and a family-friendly atmosphere. Entrance is free.

Jioni Domingo at Xavier

Sun Oct 10 from 14:00 Art, music and lots of bubbly, the Jioni Domingo party is back at Xavier on Fox Street in Maboneng. Curating the beats for the day are AN.D, Mthimboski, Dubltot and Topnotch while exhibiting is Joburg artist Riley Axon. Entrance is free.

Peachy jazz at 44 Stanley

Sun Oct 10 from 13:00 Settle in for food, cocktails and live jazz in the sunny courtyard at Peachy in 44 Stanley where the Kopano Jazz Collective are playing live from 13:00. While you’re there make sure to also take time to explore 44 Stanley’s boutiques and pick up some unique fashion and gifts. Entrance is free.

Picnic at Northwards with MicroAdventure Tours

Sun Oct 10 from 13:00 Pack your picnic blankets and baskets and book a guided tour of Joburg’s historic Northwards Mansion (pictured top) with one of Joburg’s most charming guides, Kennedy Tembo from MicroAdventure Tours. The history tour costs R200. Bring your own picnic to enjoy afterwards on the lawns.
