Collaboration with Warsaw-based Photographer Mat Fahrenholz

Poland In Your Pocket is proud to announce its collaboration with photographer Mat Fahrenholz. More than an entirely new partnership, this is more of a renewal of vows, since for several years Mat has written reviews and provided us with amazing cover images and photos for the Warsaw In Your Pocket Guide.

We are lucky to have such a talented artist on our team and we recognise the positive impact his eye has had on our visual identity. We are sure you will also appreciate his ability to capture moments, construct intriguing compositions and juxtapose the overwhelming scale of the city’s rapidly growing urban sprawl with the realities and banalities of daily life in the Polish capital.

Here are some pics of his most recent work and his Instagram #matfahrenholz.

About Mat

SAM_2923.jpgA brief visit to Warsaw in 2000 somehow turned into spending the next 15 years living here. I was brought up in Scotland, the son of WWII generation Poles. Being raised speaking Polish at home with my parents certainly made life easier once I decided to base myself in Poland. Armed with a fistful of art school diplomas and a penchant for writing and translating, I've been working as a writer and photographer for 'Warsaw in your Pocket' since 2012. I spend the rest of my time working on my own art projects and contemplating the often surreal nature of day-to-day life in my adopted city!
