Łódź In Your Pocket no.41

Welcome to the exciting world of Łódź (pr. Woodge) In Your Pocket. The summer is ending and autumn/winter is upon us, but Łódź is a vivid place and remains as colourful as ever, and no more is this evident than during the Light Move Festival (p.15), when the city is lit up with all colours of the rainbow. It’s great for all to enjoy, especially the kids, walking around, looking up at the various architectural wonders the city has to offer, dazzling in colour and light shows, looking like a giant kaleidoscope image! Speaking of architecture, check out our feature on p.10, ‘The Palaces and Villas of Łódź’ where we show you another side to Łódź’s historical industrial splendour! There is always plenty going on in Łódź, like the Soundedit Festival (p.16), but to name drop just one or two festivals is simply not enough, therefore we highly recommend you check out our Events section (p.14) or online at lodz.inyourpocket.com for full details of fun happenings and festivals taking place – everyday there’s something to check out! As always, let us know how you got on in Łódź on our FB page and/or show us what you’ve seen during your time in the city by using the hashtag #lodzinyourpocket through Instagram, or if you prefer, just use good old fashioned email: poland@inyourpocket.com
