Just came across a piece of news that prompted me to write this nonstandard post about the Czech Republic in the Poland blog. Namely about Olomouc, a beautiful city just a mere 250 km from Kraków and also part of the In Your Pocket City Guides network.
A great place to escape the crowds, it shares with Krakow the vibrant atmosphere that student life brings to a city. No surprise then that a local brewery teams up with the uni to create and brand a unique product for Olomouc. I was so excited to read that Chomout, one of my favourite local breweries in Olomouc, released UP Ale, a limited edition blond beer in collaboration with the Palacký University (Univerzita Palackého = UP).
If you find an excuse to escape Kraków, why not head to Olomouc and enjoy great food, great walks and great beer.
The label reads:
