Las night we went out to support Poland in the quarter-final of the Euro 2016 against Portugal. To our delight the Polish national team played an amazing football and came close to advance on to the semi-final. The atmosphere was jovial through out the game and despite the final result, Polish fans seemed proud of their team. Some of the commentary we overheard while heading out from Pauza In Garden (btw, a great place to comfortably watch some football), resounded in our heads as a wise and tranquillising mantra: “Taka jest piłka” (“This is football”).
