At Poland In You Pocket we are proud to announce our collaboration with illustrator and fashion designer Monika Zając. We asked her to draw inspiration from some of the past covers of Krakow In Your Pocket and create a few illustrations to mark our #100 and #101 issues.
As a way of thanking our readers and celebrating the city we will offer 6 prints of Monika’s work (one for each illustration). To get them you only need to:
- leave a comment in the page inside krakow.inyourpocket.com which corresponds to the element in the illustration (e.g. The Cloth Hall, St. Mary’s Basilica…),
- share the page on FB using the hashtag #krakow101, and
- like and share our 1 ON 1 chat with Monika (use #krakow101)
Send your comments fast! Make sure to use the hashtag #krakow101 on FB!
First come first served (comments and FB timestamps) .
You might guess which is one of Monika’s favourite places in the Old Town, since it is the common place of the elements in her work: a tower, a church and an arcade. Born in Poland and originally from Jelenia Góra, she is based in Brighton, U.K. where she is currently illustrating a book. We had the chance to chat with her when she was last in Kraków. Check out the video and more of her work at her website and Instagram.
