Main Feature: Hala Koszyki: Warsaw’s Delicious New Melting Pot
The Cool Cat
With a hip and laid back atmosphere you might be fooled into thinking it’s just another hipster bar/cafe. A quick glance at the action packed menu though will take your taste buds on a tour through some truly original Asian influenced breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
Warszawski Sznyt
With possibly the best view of any restaurant in the city (Old town, Royal Castle and the Praga skyline!) this classy new restaurant revives pre-war Warsaw grandeur and injects it with some thoroughly modern accents. With an open kitchen on both levels of the restaurant, you can watch whatever Polish or international specialties you order come together in real time.
Hunter
The name might not be subtle but it’s more than accurate if you’re hunting for a great ribeye, T-bone, or tenderloin cooked perfectly to your preferred temperature. They also have an exceptional selection of fresh seafood, soups, pastas and appetisers, however, as the wait staff will make sure to mention, meat is their forte and pedigree.
Aromat
This up and coming bakery has been making waves and many locals already swear by their pastries, breads, baguettes, cakes and eclairs (beware!). Find great breakfast deals paired with delicious coffee beverages, juices and alterna-colas. The best part of their flagship Sienna location is watching all the baking black magic go down in the open kitchen. Highly recommended! New location opening in the trendiest food market in Poland – Hala Koszyki.
Cyderia
A hard Cider bar on uber hip Poznańska St. After our first visit it’s hard to call it a success or failure but we can say the cider is absolutely unimpeachable. Even on a cold late March day we test-drove several of their exclusive golden nectars and were well impressed. They also offer a huge selection of cocktails plus elegant bar food, snacks, sandwiches and even weekend breakfast specials.
Teatro Cubano Warsaw
The warm tropical Caribbean breeze has finally reached Warsaw in the form of the very first Cuban lounge and club. In the middle there’s a huge bar prominently featuring Havana Club rum, a likely sponsor of this jumping joint. Behind the bar is a massive stage which hosts regular international touring acts (many Caribbean!) as well as their weekly Cuban Review which will mix elements of burlesque, cabaret and a steady salsa beat.
Miniature Park
This amazing new initiative and museum is recreating 1:25 scale models of some of the pearls of pre-war Warsaw architecture. The project gives viewers a unique look into the past as most of the recreated buildings were completely destroyed in the second World War. The historical museum has a clear cut and ambitious educational mission that is ever expanding and aided by considerable multimedia installations. A must see for kids and architecture buffs of any age.
