Happy summer! In this issue we’ve compiled the best of Poznań’s warm-weather attractions in a new ‘Summer in the City’ section – check it out on p.50 – and included our top ice cream (p.7) and beer garden (p.72) recommendations. We’re also hoping to make life easier for those travelling with children by introducing a list of family-friendly suggestions (find it on p.6), which will become a permanent part of the guide.
As per usual, there’s also a packed calendar of cultural events to catch – from al fresco film screenings at Stary Browar (p.10) to yoga in the park (p.10), and from the lakeside #NaFalach music festival (p.14) to a Polish rendition of the Hindu Holi festival (p.11). If summer rains start pouring down, opt instead for one of Poznań’s many temporary exhibitions (p.14) – like ‘Mission to the Moon’, a presentation of stereographic Moon landing photos at the vintage Kaiserpanorama (p.14) – or explore the museums (p.47).
As always, feel free to send us comments and questions through our FB page or via e-mail (poland@inyourpocket.com). Enjoy summer in Poznań!
Cover Story
In this issue we’ve decided to stay close to the main train station and showcase one of Poznań’s hidden architectural treasures: the 1910 Concordia Printing House, which now houses the Concordia Design studio & Concordia Taste Restaurant.
