A sight which shouldn’t be a surprise in democratic states, mass protests have been popping up here and there all accross Poland. The Polish capital is often the host to some of the country’s largest protests and marches. Mat Fahrenholz‘s camera captured a few snapshots during the KOD ‘Freedom’ march on Saturday (June 4). Worth noticing is how Mat’s b&w photos add a certain archival allure to the spectacle and gives the photos a pre-1989 period look.

According to thenews.pl other cities in Poland have also been the setting of a string of anti-establishment protests.

… Protesters at the anti-government march, staged by the Committee for the Defence of Democracy (KOD) and most opposition parties, demonstrated against what they claim is the violation of democratic and European values by Poland’s ruling party.
