Dear readers of Warsaw In Your Pocket,

Summer time in Warsaw – this is definitely the best season of the year to explore the city and the best way to do so is walking or biking. You’ll be able to combine a healthy way of spending time while discovering more about our wonderful city.

If you wish to enjoy the sunny days in Warsaw to the fullest, you shouldn’t miss experiencing a few of the places and events that will ensure you have an unforgettable time in the city.

This year’s edition of Jazz In The Old Town Festival has just started in Warsaw. All the concerts are hosted in the Old Town Market Square on a special stage and take place every summer Saturday starting at 7 pm. All information about the festival, program and the line-up can be found at the official website.

On the 12th August, another great music festival begins with the latest edition of the Chopin and his Europe Festival. All concerts between the 12th and 30th August 2017 will be held in Warsaw concerts halls – including the

National Philharmonic Hall, the Studios of the Polish Radio (Witold Lutosławski Hall) and the Royal Castle. All information about the events and the online sale of tickets can be found on the website which is available both in Polish and English.
When wandering around the city don’t forget about the brand new boulevards along the Vistula river. Each year a new part is renovated and all the cafes and bars are open for the visitors most of the day and night hours.

Alternatively, why not take a walk along the Royal Route towards the Old Town and take time to make a stop at the iconic Hotel Bristol. While there you can enjoy a glass of wine at the Wine Bar, either sitting in the summer garden or in the beautiful air-conditioned salon. The selection of wines orginate in the best-known vineyards of the world and come with a wide choice of snacks. If you are a sweet lover pop into the Café Bristol to taste my favourite mille-feuille or any of the other sweets and cakes prepared by our pastry team. More information can be found on the Hotel Bristol’s website.
