Concierge at Raffles Europejski Hotel
Dear Warsaw In Your Pocket Readers! Dear Guests!
At long last here comes the brighter part of the year. Winter is over, the days are getting longer and you can feel a new spring air. Speaking of new air, I would like to share with you the news that Warsaw’s landscape has been enriched with two places which reappeared on the city map.
The first is Raffles Europejski Hotel located on the Royal Route (p.32) to the Old Town (p.28). It opened its doors to Warsaw citizens and travellers in June 2018 after extensive renovation works that took place 2013-17. You are more than welcome to visit its luxury interiors decorated with almost 500 art pieces by Polish artists. While visiting, find a moment to enjoy the Long Bar and its famous drinks: the Singapore Sling and Warsaw Sling, or simply head straight to Europejski Grill restaurant, which offers you a blend of local and international
Another pearl which reappeared in Warsaw, hidden in the streets of the Old Town, is a restaurant called Swiętoszek Tartuffe. This venue, reopened after 5 years of careful and diligent renovation, offers you tastes which you will remember with affection for a long time. The menu, created with
Warsaw also offers you a generous dose of cultural entertainment. For instance, April is a time for the best classical music – the 23rd Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival, which takes place 07-19th. During the festival, you will have a chance to listen to the music of Beethoven, Moniuszko, Schumann, Rachmaninov and more. All concerts will be held in the Warsaw Philharmonic (F-7) except the finale – which will be in the National Theater (F-5).
If you seek cultural diversity, I strongly recommend visiting the Multimedia Fountain Park (p.116). It will offer you an unforgettable show of jumping water, illuminated by lasers all accompanied by music.
So once you plan your visit in Warsaw, take note of the aforementioned ideas, but never hesitate to ask you concierge for more. Have a great stay in Warsaw! Enjoy!
