Auschwitz: A Powerful Photo Essay

It’s difficult to talk about images which have been captured to exhaustion and at the same time are a reminder of the atrocities committed during World War II. Hard not to wonder to what extent the multiplicity of this imagery could render us insensitive to the tragedy of this particular episode in history. It could also be argued, that these photographs are precisely what the world needs, not only to be reminded of the horrors of war but to uphold human dignity as our most precious value. We could talk about what history has taught us, how evil is simply the absence of good, how people’s fervours collide and how should we always remember.
